Los Tramantes

Los Tramantes is an exhibition that took place at the Claustro de Sor Juana, featuring various works created by textile artists and artisans over a five-year period under the direction of artist Cecilia Martínez Lusarreta.

From string theory to the web of networks, from knots to rugs, from taffeta to jacquard, from miniatures to textile murals, from two-dimensional to three-dimensional, the works are rooted in Cecilia’s vision with Tramantes, which views the textile as a primordial structure that can be formulated, read, represented, felt, dreamed, and, of course, woven as a process of being and existing.

In line with the development of Tramantes’ branding and the artist’s vision, all visual and printed communication for the exhibition was created, including video and photography production.
