XKIK'

XKIK’ is a journey to the roots of Mexico, where the magic of cacao lies.
María Madero is passionate about the art and flavors of Mexico and combines a long history of family knowledge about cacao with a social commitment to working with local producers to select beans that offer exotic aromas and flavors for the discerning consumer.

The result is chocolate with soul.

For the name, we drew inspiration from the story of the rebellious princess Xkik’ in the Popol Vuh—mother of the magical twins, the sun and the moon, and the link that unites Heaven with Earth and the Mayan underworld, Xibalba—combining the best of each. For the visual identity, we collaborated closely with María, drawing inspiration from her watercolors and paintings to create an organic and artistic image where lines, colors, and Mexican ingredients blend together in a celebration of the richness of the cacao beans.
