Manifesto
Manifesto: Casa Tostadora Calabrese has one goal, and that is to offer the best coffee possible.
The Gangemi brothers are passionate about this beverage; their barista training in Milan has blended with their Calabrian roots and their current home in Yucatán. They have a very clear understanding of what it takes to create excellent coffee, and their manifesto begins with the careful selection of the beans, their roasting, grinding, and brewing. “Our motivation is to share with you the passion and love we have for this beverage. We’re not a franchise; we don’t want to compromise on quality; we want to reach everyone; we want to serve you coffee as friends, so you can experience this passion with us.”
The name opens the door to communicating the manifesto—a statement of intent that defines their philosophy, summarized in nine principles that combine wisdom and love for the beverage to create a coffee in which the selection of the beans, the roasting, the grinding, and the brewing techniques are attended to down to the smallest detail.
One of the brand’s core elements is Calabria: the cliffs and the color of the Mediterranean Sea are featured in the isotype. Nautical flags represent each of the letters in “Manifesto” and are incorporated throughout all graphic communications.
The architecture, designed by Tangente Proyectos, adapted the spirit of Calabria to the roasting facility through colors, textures, and elements within the space.
Honesty, passion, and this blend of origins and destinations make this roastery a unique combination, allowing you to enjoy the best cup of coffee just the way it should be.
