Alejandro Franco / SLKTR
Alejandro Franco is one of the most prominent music journalists in all of Latin America. Throughout his career, Alejandro has interviewed world-renowned musicians such as Robert Smith of The Cure, Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, Gustavo Cerati of Soda Stereo, and Andy Fletcher of Depeche Mode, and has collaborated with media outlets including W Radio, Telehit, Rolling Stone, and Sony Entertainment Television. Alejandro also founded and runs WARP Magazine, a music and lifestyle magazine that is the market leader in Mexico.
His talent has allowed him to cover the world’s most important music festivals, including the Love Parade in Berlin and Coachella in California, as well as direct a documentary on the Glastonbury Festival in England.
Under the name SLKTR, Alejandro creates eclectic and adaptable DJ sets, while his most elegant, precise, and cutting-edge selections are presented under the Alejandro Franco brand.
Inspired by Alejandro’s personality and philosophy, we designed a monogram for this brand that combines the initials of his name with a serious and contemporary typeface. The monogram’s design allows it to be used in various formats and settings, leaving a personal mark that conveys authority and elegance.
For SLKTR, we designed a logo that pays homage to his early days in radio, featuring a typeface inspired by 8-bit computer architecture, which harkens back to the music-selection software used by most major radio stations around the world.
