HA'
Water is the beginning of everything. HA’ means “water” and “affirmation” in the Mayan language—an open and fluid term. HA’ is the restaurant of Carlos Gaytán, the first Mexican chef to earn a Michelin star. This dining experience is located at the idyllic Hotel Xcaret México on the Riviera Maya.
Xcaret is an iconic destination that, in pre-Hispanic times, served as a hub where diverse cultures converged—a center shaped by waterways and connections to the Caribbean Sea.
HA’ is a total experience, where the Mexican and contemporary culinary journey is framed by the architectural and interior design of architect David Quintana. A design rich in detail, with exquisite curation and striking sculptural elements.
In collaboration with Hoteles Xcaret, we developed the concept and branding for this iconic restaurant. HA’ is a brand in motion. Transparency and waves form patterns that are constantly in motion. The isotype is this initial drop, which creates a dynamic aesthetic. The logo uses a classic and elegant typeface that can be adapted into various versions, always prioritizing clarity and reflecting a brand that endures and flows like life itself.
