La Valise Hotel

La Valise in Mexico City is a haven of beauty and contemplation, a hotel with a unique personality that has been recognized as one of the best in its category worldwide.

The vision, the curation of vendors, and the travels of its owner, Yves Naman, have enabled this project—which consists of just three rooms—to achieve unparalleled luxury through every one of its services and details.

La Valise’s branding was developed through a blend of iconic elements representative of Mexico City— an urban design, and the stories and literature that have made the Colonia Roma legendary—such as José Emilio Pacheco’s *Las batallas en el desierto* or Roberto Bolaño’s *Los detectives salvajes*.

The isotype combines pre-Hispanic and abstract elements, incorporating the initials of La Valise, and is also inspired by its three spaces: the courtyard, the terrace, and the moon—each of which is a distinct universe with its own unique character and design, inspiring us to create a symbol for each one. In this way, the design elements blend with the architectural and decorative details to preserve the rhythm and beauty of the hotel.
